The Pheasant Tail Flashback T.H. Hot Collar is a dynamic variation of the classic Pheasant Tail Nymph, designed to combine the natural effectiveness of traditional materials with the visibility and attraction of modern Euro-nymphing patterns. The addition of a tungsten bead provides a rapid sink rate, while the bright hot collar serves as a visual trigger that provokes reaction strikes from trout in all water conditions.

Design / Features

These fly fishing flies are tied using natural pheasant tail fibers for the segmented body, a flashback wing case for subtle shimmer, and fine copper ribbing for strength and definition. The hot collar—usually a bright orange or chartreuse band—adds contrast that helps the fly stand out in fast or slightly stained water.
