Description
Caddis Peeking Jig Hook is a proven nymph pattern designed to imitate the cased caddis larva peeking out from its protective shell. Featuring a dark, segmented body with a bright or olive-colored “head” or thorax to represent the exposed insect, this fly closely mimics the natural appearance of caddis in their vulnerable, drifting state.
Tied on a barbless jig hook and weighted with a tungsten bead, the fly rides hook point up—ideal for tight-line nymphing and Euro techniques. It sinks quickly and stays near the bottom, where caddis larvae are most commonly found.
