Description

The Boobee fly is a buoyant and eye-catching stillwater pattern designed to attract trout in lakes, reservoirs, and ponds. It features a compact body with vibrant colors and is tied with foam or buoyant synthetic material at the head—often resembling a small “booby” shape—which gives the fly a unique floating action. Fished on a sinking line, the fly rises off the bottom and flutters enticingly with a slow retrieve, mimicking injured or struggling prey.

This fly is especially effective when trout are feeding near the bottom or suspended in deeper water.
