Description
BWO Sunkiss is a modern emerger pattern designed to mimic the Blue-Winged Olive mayfly as it transitions from nymph to adult. It features a slim olive body and soft hackle for natural movement, but what sets it apart is a subtle “sunkissed” hotspot—usually in the thorax or wing area—that adds just enough flash or color to catch a trout’s eye without spooking it.
This fly is ideal during BWO hatches, especially in slower seams, soft riffles, and tailouts where fish are sipping emergers just below the surface. It works well on a dead drift or swung through the current. The BWO Sunkiss is a perfect blend of realism and subtle attraction, making it deadly on selective trout in clear, technical water.
